The risks of getting blood clots from the AstraZeneca vaccine are between 1 in 250,000 and 1 in 500,000. You run a higher risk of getting killed on your way to getting the vaccine than from receiving the vaccine. If you qualify to get the AstraZeneca vaccine, you should get it. In the small sample of people who experienced blood clots, most were women under 30. I didn’t see it in the data but I believe that women of that age are also more likely to be on the pill. Correlation? Maybe.

Commercial contractors must be aware of this risk. Talk to your broker to make sure you are covered properly.
