We are committed to providing our customers with the highest level of service and want to bring to your attending some upcoming changes to our SSL Certificate(s). The CA/B Forum Baseline Requirements has imposed a mandatory maximum validity period of 825 days (27 months) on all SSL Certificates as of March 1, 2018. Beginning April 20, 2017, Affordable Domains Canada will no longer offer 3 year validity period certifi...cates to limit impact to our customers after March 1, 2018. We are introducing a date somewhat earlier than that of the CA/B Forum to avoid truncated certificate validity periods if a 3 year certificate is reissued. Specifically, this will help you to avoid the following scenario: Scenario: A user reissues their existing certificate after March 1, 2018 with a remaining validity period of more than 27 months Result: The certificate will be shortened to a 27 month period since this is the maximum validity period permitted and remaining time over 27 months will be lost If you should for any reason still need to issue a 3 year certificate prior to the CA/B Forum Baseline Requirement date of March 1, 2018, please contact your Account Manager directly who will be able to assist you.
