A Friendlier Company

Paper takeout containers are often thought of as the best single-use option. While paper offers some environmental benefits compared to single-use plastic, paper packaging is still single-use. That means that we need new raw materials to produce each product, every time. Every year, 3 billion trees are cut down to manufacture paper packaging products. That’s equivalent to a forest roughly the size of the United Kingdom. This is not sustainable, and the trees we’re using o...ften come from the world’s most endangered forests. Our destruction of these forests affects the endangered wildlife that reside there, as well as the many indigenous communities that depend on the forests for their livelihood. Single-use is not, and never will be the solution to our environmental problems. We need to rethink the way we consume and create a societal shift towards reuse.
