Celebrating #BlackHistoryMonth. This, and every month, we honour the legacy and contributions of Black Canadians. The Afro-Caribbean Cultural Festival Association is a step towards the elimination of discrimination, racism, and prejudice, with a priority for those targeted against Indigenous Peoples, and racialized women and girls. It is festivals and events like these that are beneficial in promoting community support, multiculturalism, and anti-racism initiatives. This init...iative encourages positive interaction between cultural, religious, and ethnic communities and promotes the expression of Canadians' multiple identities. This interaction, through the inclusion and welcoming of diverse Canadians, will help to increase participants' sense of belonging and attachment to Canada. For over 6 years, Moksha Canada Foundation has brought together Black and all the diverse communities creating a space to feel welcome, heard, and celebrated.
