Sao Paulo, Brazil was seeing a decrease in bee populations because of pesticides being applied inaccurately. That was until they equipped an Ag-Nav Platinum with Flow-Control, and an automatic spray valve. Now the customer can spray accurately, and have proof of their sprayed area, This spray report shows accurate data of product deposit and location which has helped let the bee population thrive, and keep product where it should be. Bee population and Bee hive producers wher...e losing bees due to aerial application. Now, a new project where the bee hives are mapped out and saved on a GIS (Geographical information systems) file and loaded to the Agnav Platinum navigation systems via a USB, helped the bee population increase. The Platinum is able to use the GIS file for a precise aerial application and uses the bee hive map file to stop spraying in this sensitive area. The platinum system will automatically turns on and off the spray system based on coordinates from the GIS file and also control the application rate. The bee hive producers have seen an increase of 30% in the last two years due to the precision controlled aerial application using the Platinum systems. See more
