It’s Throwback Thursday! Dr. Naheed A. Daya recently completed a guided implant surgical case on Boxing Day 2020 (yes, we had some good moments in 2020). We showed you all the start of this case in Oct 2019, after using digital intraoral impressions (using our iTero) taken using the 3D Cone Beam CT scanning to place an implant and to replace a congenitally missing adult premolar on the patient's left-hand side. Because the baby tooth (previously extracted by Dr. Naheed A. Day...a prior to implant placement) was wider than the implant crown placed, the patient underwent Invisalign treatment. This was recommended in order to close the gap and obtain a better final esthetic and functional result for the patient. The patient completed his Invisalign treatment 1 year later (some delays due to the Covid-19 shutdown) and we now finally have our final "after" picture with the implant supported crown in place.
