A person who's reactive does things only in response to others. To react is to do something in response to something else. In the case of your health, reacting is not the ideal choice. Reacting is easy, less time consuming and doesn’t require a lot of thought. It’s the mentality of a lot of Canadians. We live such hectic lives that all we can do IS REACT. So if you are proactive, you are ready before something happens. In the case of your health, this means preventing problems by living a healthy lifestyle, taking care of your health by getting the preventative services available to you and lastly, educate yourself about healthy habits for your life. An inspirational doctor once said people spend x amount of dollars and time on material things but to spend x amount of dollars and time on their health is not an option. We need to make our health our priority and it starts with putting yourself first.
