Heads up - there are three job postings at the top of our River Valley Sun FB page :)
Woodstock is ageless! We got our magazines two days early! We’ll be doing upriver tomorrow and downriver Friday. Subscriptions will be in the mail tomorow.
The Christmas issue is at the printer and is scheduled to be delivered to us on December 18. Subscriptions will be in the mail on the 19th, and deliveries to stores will take place on the 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st. Thanks for your patience! We're excited about this one :)
High winds leads to power outages across western New Brunswick RIVER VALLEY SUN Winds gusting more than 60 km per hour are causing power outages from Edmunston... to Saint John. In the river valley, thousands are without power as fire departments respond to downed power lines in Florenceville-Bristol, Centreville, Hartland, Lakeville, and Woodstock, and other areas. NB Power crews are working to restore power to most areas, with estimated repair times ranging from two to four hours. The NB Power website says more than 15,000 people are currently without power in the province. Environment Canada’s forecast says winds are not expected to die down until late tonight.
Elections NB is looking for fill-in poll workers for the Carleton riding polls on Election Day (in case someone calls in sick!). It’s a one-day gig. If you can help, please call Fay at the returning office - 325-4432. Thanks for helping democracy work!
Guess what arrived!! My favourite delivery driver is stocking Woodstock locations today, and up-river locations tomorrow. Down-river retail outlets will get theirs Saturday!

I am asking for a favour - well, to be truthful, the Town of Woodstock actually needs the favour. Our live-streamed council session would be better quality if we were able to use a mobile device to record. To do that with YouTube, you need a minimum of 1,000 subscribers to a channel. The favour: could you please subscribe to our channel so we can do this with a mobile phone? That would increase our audio quality, which has been an issue. It would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks, in advance! Here is the link:

Scam alert!!! Don’t fall for this! See the top of the last screen shot - that’s where the link takes you. ... These are getting more and more ‘real’ looking! Please share!
A friend just mentioned he saw algae forming on the meduxnekeag. We are taking precautions and haven’t been taking our dog to the river since it began to get hot. Please be cautious!
Scam alert! Always check the email address! This is NOT Canada Post!... Grrr!
