If work commute time is important too (or if it must stay relatively constant), then researching how long that will take may also prevent headaches later on!... ... When we lived at our old house I was racking my brain about what can be done with the backyard. I would look out the window and into my backyard and get annoyed. I had only one thing on my mind - the kids! ... They would be wake up from a nap and they needed a place to play! Our postage stamp size yard couldn’t fit all their big clunky outdoor toys and it didn’t give us any space to relax. I remember the first time I saw our old house.
