After a participant consents to partake in our study, we randomize the participant by assigning them to either the control group (without VR) or the experimental group (with VR) using a computer program. Randomization gives each participant an equal 50% chance of being in either group, making this study a fully randomized controlled trial! The purpose of our study is to imbed deprescribing into NB Nursing Homes using MedReviewRx and to evaluate user experience with the app. We expect that using this app will promote deprescribing in nursing homes and reduce the prevalence of potentially inappropriate medications. Cody has an honors degree in Kinesiology from the University of New Brunswick and is currently taking a Master of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta. He has previous research experience with Canada East Spine Centre and Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College working in various fields of research. Cody’s research interests include physical activity and sedentary behavior levels in older adults. Fun fact: Cody has a French Bulldog named Meena! #CIRA #AgingResearch #Research #WelcomeToTheTeam

Our Virtual Reality for Rehab project is working in collaboration with Bruyère to improve strength, stamina, balance, cardiovascular fitness, and confidence in seniors. With regular exercise, we aim to help seniors maintain (or improve) their functional ability, independence, and quality of life. #Research #AgingResearch #LongTermCare #NewBrunswick #Fredericton #NBresearch #Jintronix #SeniorsRehab
