I love this extravagant new painting by Chris Klein! It's "Christine's Masquerade" from the Phantom of the Opera (acrylic on canvas, 36 x 70 inches). His gorgeous series of costume paintings explore representation through light, colour & texture, but they are also a tribute to the art of theatre and all the people involved in bringing it to life. In his own words: "As a scenic artist, I work closely with other departments and my costume paintings are my way of reaching out t...o some of the other forms of art that I am involved with. I work closely with designers, and this is my tribute to their work. It's also my tribute to the actors, performers and dancers for whom these costumes are made, and the vast array of skilled people who actually create them, cutting and stitching, embroidery, leather and metal work, the list goes on. And these costume invoke so many stories; the people who have worn them, the performances they have played and the stages they have walked." Chris Klein Hopefully we'll be able to enjoy theatre again soon, but in the meantime, we can delight in Chris Klein's beautiful paintings: you can see more in the Gallery windows and at www.shop-agora-gallery.ca. Take care & be safe. Chris Klein Stratford Festival StratfordON The Stratford City Centre

We're pleased to present several wonderful sculptures by Tom Campbell in shop windows around Market Square, just in time for Arts Around Stratford this weekend! Huge thanks to the brilliant business owners and art lovers who've made it possible: The Little Prince Micro Cinema, Mone-Thai Restaurant, Revel Cafe & Somewhere [a restaurant]. We have a special installation in our window too! StratfordON, The Stratford City Centre

Many of you will remember this incredible photograph by Luc Forsyth from the Migrant Caravan Mexico exhibition at Agora Gallery Stratford last Christmas. It shows migrants making the dangerous journey from Oaxaca to Medias Aguas, Veracrux atop the freight train known as La Bestia, as they travelled to the American border in March 2018. Buzzfeed News has chosen it as one of the most powerful images of the decade! See the full article here... https://www.buzzfeednews.com//most-powerful-photos-of-the-
