What is the difference between unoccupied and vacant? VACANT means an empty home without furniture, appliances or utilities hooked up for 30 days or longer. An UNOCCUPIED home is a furnished home that is empty for 30 days or longer... with the utilities left on, such as those who have gone south for the winter or have had a medical emergency. Insurance companies offer vacant or unoccupied policies that could cost between 50% to 150% more than your regular premium. Using the services of AG Secure HomeWatch could reduce that premium drastically! Find out more at agsecurehomewatch.ca

Every year there are a number of accidental drownings in Canada. Most of these accidents are preventable - lack of PFD, inexperienced swimmers, and alcohol play a great part in these drownings. If you’re going away for some time make sure your fence, pool and hot tub are secure, preventing intruders from having a swim or falling in.
