AGT received this wonderful message from Beirut following the tragic events last week showing how Canadian lentils help to feed the world’s most vulnerable and at the same time provide billions to the Canadian economy. Everyone at AGT would like to extend our thoughts to those impacted in Beirut and express our pride in feeding the world and helping those in need. Hi folks, I’m originally from Niagara (Ontario). My office is in Iraq, and I'm currently working to support my ...colleagues in Beirut. I just got a snapshot from my colleagues, showing the bulk groceries they picked up for the hot food kitchen, where we'll be serving 1300 people today. Everyone we're distributing food to had their lives turned upside down in last week's port explosion. So, why email you? Well, I couldn't help notice the Saskcan label on the bags of lentils. Thought you might like to know where some of your pulses ended upfeeding folks who are living in the midst of chaos, and really appreciate the stability of a daily hot meal. Regards from Iraq & Lebanon
