A Gym Tale 13.10.2021

It is with great sadness that we announce that A Gym Tale will be closing permanently after more than 10 years of playtime right here in Barrhaven. Thank you to the thousands of families who have included us in their children’s lives. We are so grateful to have been a part of so many birthdays and play dates over the years, and will miss each and every child who has come through our doors. Thank you to our wonderful staff, who have dedicated so many hours to our programs and... the many children they served. Each team member at A Gym Tale brought something brilliant to the center, and will all be sorely missed. Although the world looks a little different right now, we hope that you are all finding ways to continue to celebrate play and imagination. We will forever treasure our memories at A Gym Tale, and thank everyone for your support over the years. Farewell, and stay safe. The A Gym Tale Team

Important Update Regarding COVID-19 To Our A Gym Tale Family, Please note that we are now temporarily closed. ... The COVID-19 pandemic is a rapidly evolving situation and we will continue to monitor it closely. We expect to re-open on April 6, 2020 as this is currently the estimated safe date to do so. However, as we receive further information, this may have to change. We are proud to serve the Barrhaven area, a wonderful neighbourhood that values community and helping those around them. A Gym Tale is hopeful that by remaining closed, we can contribute to a safer and healthier community. We look forward to seeing your families playing at the centre when we re-open. Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date with our latest information. Please stay safe, and continue to take care of one another. The A Gym Tale Team

Important Update Regarding COVID-19 Dear A Gym Tale Family, We know there are many things left uncertain following the recent news over the COVID-19 virus. We understand the frustration and stress that this fast-changing situation has caused. ... A Gym Tale has been monitoring the situation closely and has made a decision we feel is best for our community. We understand that many families will choose to withdraw their children from camp at this time. In fact, with the recent advice given to Canadians, we believe this is the best option if you are able to do so. However, we also recognize the essential workers within our community - healthcare workers, first-responders, our military and essential government personnel - that cannot stay home with their children and are working tirelessly to eliminate the threat this virus presents. It is for this reason that our March Break Camp will remain open next week. In an effort to limit the number of children at our facility, we will be lowering our camp capacity. At this time, we ask that only those who desperately require child-care register their child with us at A Gym Tale. We would like to stress that the decision to remain open for camp next week was made specifically for the purposes of providing a service to those who need it. Drop-In Play will not be running next week. Please note that should A Gym Tale be asked to close by the City of Ottawa and/or Governments of Ontario or Canada, we will do so and inform registered families accordingly. At this time, without a clear directive from these entities and after much deliberation, we believe this is best to both minimize the risk and support the families in our community. We understand that schools will be closed for two weeks following March Break. At this time, we do not have sufficient information to make a decision regarding our programs and facility for the weeks following March Break. As soon as we have further information, we will make a decision and inform the A Gym Tale community. Our top priority is the health and well-being of the children in our care and our staff. A Gym Tale has rigorous cleaning procedures that are carried out each day, and frequent sanitization will be taking place, as always. If your child is currently registered with us and you no longer wish to bring them to camp next week, please let us know and we will arrange for credit to your account immediately. Should you require child care during the March Break, please download the registration form from our website and email it to us at [email protected], or give us a call during our business hours at 613-825-9165. Thank you, A Gym Tale Team
