Today is my first day of school! That being said, with my class schedule there will be some major changes to my schedule! I will be contacting clients who are booked outside of these hours to reschedule, before booking any new clients. At this time, if you have not returned for massage since the ‘Covid Break’, I unfortunately will have to refer you to another massage therapist.... Also, with limited hours, last minute cancellations and no shows will have a zero tolerance. I am self employed, and DO NOT get paid when you do not show up. Should you miss an appointment or cancel without time for me to fill your spot, you will charged the full cost of your appointment (NOT BILLABLE THROUGH INSURANCE). Thank you all SO much for your patience & support through this exciting time!

It is with great excitement - and a little bit of nerves - that I can announce that I got accepted into the Continuing Care Assistant program at NSCC Lunenburg Campus for the Fall 2020 semester start! At this time, I am still in the dark about class times, and how they will affect my currently prebooked clients. I do know that I am only required to physically attend class 1 day per week. Please bare with me during this time, as I am not sure if days, times and schedules are g...oing to fluctuate. I will contact you directly if an appointment needs to be moved or rescheduled. I am SO excited to begin this new career path, and thank you all for your support though the next 9 months of schooling! :)

As you know, South Shore Physiotherapy has made it mandatory to wear a mask in our clinic! With the government mandating mask wear inside public places, I will have to enforce my mask policy a little more strongly. As of today - July 31st, 2020 - it will also be mandatory for my clients to wear their masks while in my room. I understand claustrophobia, and when face down, you will be permitted to pull your mask off your nose to breathe easier. ... I wear a mask to protect you from me, and I’m asking you to wear your mask to protect me!

PLEASE READ & LIKE! At South Shore Physiotherapy, we are pleased to be able to return to in-clinic appointments as of June 8th, 2020. As part of this process, we want to ensure that patients are aware of the steps being taken to open up to in-clinic appointments in a safe manner. In addition, we want patients to be aware of what’s required of them to help make in-clinic appointments as safe as possible.... Steps being taken by South Shore Physiotherapy - Use of medical-grade masks for all clinical staff - Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols - Hand sanitizing stations on entering and exiting the clinic - Decreased number and staggering of appointments to eliminate overlap of patients - Changes to our waiting room to allow for social distancing and minimize number of object touched by multiple people - Markings on our floors to outline dedicated entry and exit lanes, as well as provide visual cues for social distancing - Offering of telehealth appointments to appropriate patients and/or patients needing to isolate - No cash payments - Encourage the use of payment methods that minimize interaction (e-transfers, tap, credit card over the phone) - Encourage use of email to limit paper use (for intake, billing, exercises etc...) - Screening for symptoms both at initial contact, on confirming appointment and on arrival at the clinic Steps we are asking you to take - Answer screening questions truthfully and notify staff if any symptoms develop - Confirm appointments via e-confirmations is strongly encouraged - E-confirmations will include screening questions, so by confirming your appointment you are confirming you have not answered yes to any of the screening questions - Show up no more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment - If you arrive earlier than 5 minutes, you will be asked to wait in the lobby of the building - Show up to your appointment alone (unless absolutely necessary) - Any family member or companion must either wait in the car or wait in the lobby - Wear a mask to all appointments - Mask does not have to be medical-grade, can be fabric - While the purchasing of masks will be an option (for $2), it is strongly encouraged to bring your own - Obey floor markings and keep social distance with everyone outside of your treating practitioner - Use hand sanitizer on entry and exit of the clinic - Our washroom will be for staff only. Hi everyone! I will be posting the updated requirement list for clients later today! For now, I am currently at my phone for messages or calls 902-541-0098 for the next couple hours!

While we await the final confirmation from our association on protocols & ongoing regulations for prevention of COVID-19, we are setting a date to reopen! Starting Monday, June 8th, 2020 I will be returning to my regular hours: Monday 9-2... Tuesday 1-6 Wednesday 11:30-4:30 Thursday 1-7 Friday Off I WILL NOT be able to accept any new clients at this time. Upon reopening, and for the foreseeable future, I will NO LONGER be offering 30 min appointments (with the only exception being WCB massages), and I apologize for this inconvenience. Due to cleaning protocols and preparation, I am hoping to maximize my time at the clinic. Also, I will be working extra time through the month of June to accommodate the prebooked clients - HOWEVER - As of July 1st, I will be adjusting my schedule & will let clients know of appointment changes I appreciate everyone’s cooperation at this time, as we navigate through this ever-changing new normal, and a new flow at the clinic. I will be posting the requirements for YOU as a client when we get confirmation from our association of the expected protocols. The provincial government has announced we will be able to reopen Friday June 5th, 2020! Once I get the the finalized requirements by our association, I will be contacting clients to rebook, or alter appointments due to the protocols. Sunday, April 19 Update Still closed, and appointments will be cancelled until we receive contact from our provincial association & liability insurance that we are able to return to work.
