In the body of a dancer we, as a public, must see ourselves, not the imitation of behavior, of everyday actions; not phenomena of nature, not exotic creatures of another planet : but something, a small thing of that miracle which is the human being. "Dancing seems fascinating, simple, enchanting. But the path to the paradise of realization is no less complex than all the others. There is so much fatigue that the body cries, even in sleep. There are moments of complete frustration, there are small daily deaths... "They asked me sometimes when I chose to become a dancer. I didn't choose it. I was chosen to be a dancer, and this is an unavoidable thing. When some young student asks me if I think she should become a dancer, I answer her : "If you feel the need to ask, the answer is no..." "Dance is a song of the body. Be it joy or sorrow. Dance is discovery, discovery, discovery. The body is a sacred garment. No artist is ahead of his time. Each is its own time. Possibly the others are left behind. "Nobody cares if you're not good at dancing. Just get up and dance ! The greatest dancers are not great for their technical level, they are great for their passion. You learn with practice. Whether it's learning to dance by experiencing dance, or learning to live by having life experiences, the principle doesn't change. In some fields you become an athlete of God.
