"PALS is a 28-month, peer-driven outreach project for people who use drugs in Halifax who are being released from the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility (CNSCF). The overall objective is to reduce risk-taking behaviour of 75 to 100 people who use substances at the critical time of their release. PALS employs current and former substance users as peer workers (also referred to as PALS) who are trained on topics such as overdose awareness, confidentiality, and harm reduction. Incarcerated people who use drugs can be referred by a case management officer at the CNSCF or self-refer to the program."

Seen us on Grindr lately? Yes, it's us! On top of our usual online outreach through platforms like Squirt, Manhunt & more, we've added Grindr to the list. Previously limited to the HRM, ACNS has been able to expand our Grindr outreach to the full province! We move our location a few times each day to be accessible to as many Nova Scotians as possible. If you see us, make sure to add us to your Favorites list! This way we are always in your back-pocket to ask a question, even when we aren't logged in to your town. Got questions, but not on queer meeting apps or sites? You can contact our Health & Wellness Educator at [email protected] with your questions too!

The Youth Coalition is very excited to open their call for submissions for the upcoming World AIDS Day Watchdog! Recognizing 1st December as World AIDS Day (WAD), the Youth Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Rights and The PACT are calling on all young people under 30 to speak up and show support for people living with and affected by HIV and to remember those who lost their lives to AIDS.... The 2020 WAD global focus theme is GLOBAL SOLIDARITY, SHARED RESPONSIBILITY. Global solidarity and shared responsibility requires us to view global health responses, including the AIDS response, in a new way. Here are the links to the calls for submissions: English: http://bit.ly/YCWAD Español: http://bit.ly/YCWAD_ESP_ Français: http://bit.ly/YCWAD_FR Deadline: November 15th 2020!
