Join us at our #WednesdayWebinar Harm Reduction 101! Meeting people where they’re at is a popular saying among harm reduction activists and practitioners who work with people who use drugs. But what exactly does it mean? This Harm Reduction 101 will explore the what, why, and how of harm reduction. What is harm reduction? Why should we support harm reduction? And how can we support people who use drugs so that they use safely? Not only will we delve into this approach’s philosophical roots, but a step-by-step process will be outlined on how to inhale and inject in safer ways. Whether you’re a professional, someone who uses, or supporting others that use, this 101 has something for everyone. Content warnings: this Harm Reduction 101 includes graphic depictions of drug use and drug paraphernalia. https://buff.ly/31TFGre

This Recovery Day, Pozitive Pathways Community Services continues to acknowledge the important role harm reduction plays for people, whether or not they are aiming to reduce their use or stop completely. We also want to pay special attention to the challenges many persons who use substances are facing during this pandemic. As such, we have created cards that outline some tips in reducing your risk of overdose and Covid-19 when using with others or when using in quarantine. Our cards also provide strategies in mitigating your risks of Covid-19 when meeting your dealer, whether indoors or outdoors. Stay well.
