Happy 40th Anniversary Indiana Jones! Its a shame my Fedora is in storage in the UK, but naturally I always have Indy with me. Raiders of the Lost Ark has played a huge part in my life. I remember the first time I watched it, I was 9 years old, my mum asked if I wanted to watch a film that was on BBC One, I agreed and it was that moment my life changed. My entire understanding of films was turned upside down. I was hooked. Indy taught me many things and the more I watch it t...he more I still learn, even after watching it over and over. I think I must have seen this movie at least 200 times. Indy taught me that you got to take chances, that's why I do crazy things like sky diving and bungee jumping. Indy taught me not to be afraid to try new things and it's okay to have flaws and not get things right. Indy taught me to see the world and appreciate everything. He taught me that nobody's perfect, if you fall you get back up and you try again. He also taught me that it's okay not to have a plan and make it up as you go. The later films Temple of Doom, Last Crusade and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull taught me many more things but without Raiders we wouldn't have the others. This is why Raiders means so much to me. And this is why it will always be my number 1 (Last Crusade is a close 2nd) Spielberg, Lucas and Ford changed my life for the better and I thank them for that.
