Student this morning, teacher tonight- teachers must continue to learn from others

hatha yoga tonight in the yard (assuming no rain) and it looks like there's still space. We will incorporate a bit of yin yoga too. Mssg me to check on availability for this evening :)

Boat poses and plank poses (especially) are common to yoga. Yoga is good for your core!

2nd day of yin training complete, one more to go. Learning SO many interesting things, for example, the liver and gallbladder meridians are most active in spring. I have some great postures and mind training that can be combined to keep the chi free flowing through these meridians and keep your feelings of frustration and anger manageable and bring out the courage to deal with such feelings!

Any runners or high intensity exercisers out there may want to consider yin yoga to create balance with those yang activities. Join me for yin yoga, dates TBA shortly!

Doing my pre-reading for my upcoming Yin Yoga training and I'm getting very excited for it. Very interesting stuff!!!

Asanas and pranayama in kids' yoga today, followed up by chakra review and a craft I can't mention because it may manifest as a Christmas present for some wonderful people out there...

Kids Christmas Yoga "camp"- 9:30-11:00am Monday Dec. 22, Tues. 23, & Wed. 24. $22/day each child or $60 for all three days per child. Asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), satsang, crafts, and more. Please get in touch if interested, space is limited! Must meet a minimum number to run. Register by Thursday Dec. 18.

Next week is BOGO park yoga! Bring a friend and pay only one $10 fee and the other is $5!! Split it with your friend and pay only $7.50 each! That is for both Monday and Thursday 10:15-11:30 next week! Also daughters or sons who'd like to try are only $2 when adult pays full drop in fee. Suggested age is 6 and up (you know your kids' attention span best!) If you need directions let me know!

Interest for basic/beginner was good - August 1st will run and continue into the month. If you were wanting a beginners'/back to basic class, let me know, I am open to setting up another class if there's enough interest to run another!

When we speak of it this way, it is not authentic. We are coming more from Ego. Yoga is about getting Ego to be quiet, to move out of the way.

Karma yoga at work today was awesome. Shared beautiful energy with six other ladies and between the 7 of us, made a nice donation of $100 to S.C.A.R.S.
