Have you looked in your pet's mouth lately? They could have dental disease; which can result in bad breath, painful chewing and tooth loss. It begins when bacteria combines with food particles to form plaque on the tooth, and within days the minerals in the saliva bond with the plaque to form tartar. The bacteria gets trapped under the gums and destroys the supporting tissue around the tooth, which leads to tooth loss.
