Cadets, here is a unique opportunity to gain training from cadets across the globe and potentially make some new connections. This staff training day for cadets... will begin at 06:00 MST and run until 1300 MST, Feb 6th, 2021. Register by Feb 3rd. See email from 1st Lt T. Clements or message Highlander Composite Squadron for the registration link. See message below: Good afternoon! I wanted to make you all aware of a training that my daughter is hosting for cadets. Her desire to put this together stemmed from the need to give training to her cadet staff. Due to restrictions that are constantly changing, she has opened this up beyond our squardron. Passing on to you all, so that you can share with your cadets. Please let me know if you have any questions!! Here is a copy of her letter: Alcon, First, let me introduce myself. My name is C/2d Lt Ella Griffin. I am the Cadet Commander of Wiesbaden Flight, Ramstein Cadet Squadron. I have been working on putting together a Staff Training Day for the Cadets. We have all had many challenges this past year, with Covid, restrictions, quarantines, etc. Because of these things, I decided to use a universal platform, to make this training happen. While many of us would love to attend in-person, a virtual training day would allow all cadets that need or want training, regardless of their location or situation, to attend. I wanted to let you know that Wiesbaden Flight will be having a Cadet Staff Training Day on Saturday, 6 February 2021. The training will be from 14:00-21:00 (CET- Central Europe Time). These times will allow stateside cadets, as well as overseas cadets, the opportunity to join this training. This is an opportunity for us to all come together and either brush up on some information or open our eyes to new information and ways to execute it. There will be time built in for discussions throughout the training, as well as an open discussion forum at the end. This will provide an opportunity to ask additional questions as well as time for cadets from various locations to connect with each other. This is a positive opportunity that will allow us to gather and learn at the same time, regardless of the distances affecting us! I have organized a series of classes with various instructors, cadets and senior members, who are extremely excited for this opportunity. I've reached out to stateside connections that I have made and at this time I have instructors, and possible attendees, from Germany, England, Africa, Wisconsin, Oregon, and California. The diversity among us will only broaden our knowledge and connection within the Civil Air Patrol community. Please, feel free to extend this to other connections you might have as well!! If you are interested in attending, please sign up via this google form link NLT 3 February 2021: Let Lt T. Clements or message Highlander Composite Squadron if you would like the registration link to attend. Photos are from European Encampment 2015 at Ramstein AFB. 1st Lt A. Clements was First Sergeant for the Encampment.
