Re: 10th Annual Bikes & Bulls Rumble on the Runway Dear Friends, The occurrence of the COVID-19 virus continues to pose a high degree of uncertainty globally.... On April, 23rd, 2020, the Government of Alberta issued the order prohibiting all summer public events and festivals until further notice. Under such circumstances, the 10th Annual Bikes & Bulls Rumble on the Runway cannot be held as scheduled and will be cancelled with hopes of returning July 23-25th, 2021 As the show organizer, we have to put the safety and health of our patrons, volunteers, and participants as our top priority and would appreciate your kind understanding. We would like to express our gratitude for your continual support of the events held by the AOA, which have provided much needed financial assistance to local charities in our city. We are hoping to come back better than ever and hope to have your support again once we get through this pandemic and establish the new normal. We pass along our best wises prayers for you all to remain healthy and safe, and look froward to seeing you in once we get past this challenging time. Yours truly The AOA Executive

Greetings everyone ! On behalf of the Airdrie Oilmen's Association, we truly hope that you and your Families and Friends are all safe and healthy amidst this Covid Crisis. As you are no doubt aware, the AOA had postponed and rescheduled White Collar Boxing VI to June 11th. However, new Government restrictions have mandated that public gatherings are not permitted until after June 30th. It is unknown at this time if this date may be further extended. ... At this time, we will be issuing refunds to all sponsors and patrons for tables and tickets purchased for the event. Our treasurer is currently processing these requests. If you have paid by cheque, you will be contacted to verify mailing address. Credit card payments will be refunded through our Point of Sale provider. We have been informed that the turn around time is normally 5-7 business days. However, we do ask for your patience as there may be delays due to the shear volume of credits being processed, or delays by your own banking institution. We appreciate your support, and plan to be back with White Collar Boxing VI once the new normal is established and public events can resume. Tonite is the Night !!! That was supposed to be White Collar Boxing VI. We have re-scheduled to June 11th, and are hoping that this pandemic will have blown over by then. Please join me in celebrating all of our competitors who were scheduled to perform this evening. We have a great group of people who have been training for months to put on a show to entertain and benefit local charities, who are no doubt disappointed that this Virus has delayed the event. I want to recog...nize and congratulate each one of you for making it through training, regardless of the current situation, trust that you are all feeling well and in far better shape than when you started !! Your hard work is appreciated, and we truly hope that you will get the opportunity to step into the ring and show off the skills you have acquired. Thanks to Cody Thompson and his White Collar Boxing Co. team who have been putting on remote workouts for the competitors during this isolation period . Additional time and training is sure to have an impact on the show when our group finally does get to shine! Dear Friends, The Airdrie Oilmen’s Association are closely monitoring the Covid-19 Pandemic. An announcement was recently communicated by the Alberta Government calling for immediate cancellation of all public gatherings exceeding 250 people. As a matter of Public Safety, the AOA Executive Committee have made the decision to postpone our White Collar Boxing VI event that was scheduled to be held on Thursday March, 26th at the Palace Theater. This postponement also applies t...o the Pre-Event Weigh-In scheduled March 25th at Local 522. Our participants have been training extremely hard for this event since the beginning of January and were very excited to perform in front of the capacity crowd. After discussing the current pandemic with our competitors, we have been advised that the group has elected to continue with their training for the next couple of months to prepare to put on an even better show on our NEW DATE of June 11th, 2020. All tickets and tables for White Collar Boxing VI will be honored for this newly re-scheduled date of June 11th, 2020. We are optimistic that this global crisis will improve within these next couple of months and that we will be able to proceed with the event at this time. We will continue to monitor and advise of any further changes, as well as keep you informed on the other remaining AOA events through 2020 as more information becomes available. (Bikes & Bulls Rumble on the Runway, Charity Golf Classic, and Carnivore Night) We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and we hope to be getting back to normal operations as soon as possible. The Airdrie Oilmen's Association are happy to announce that the Honda Junior Red Riders program has been confirmed again for our 10th Anniversary Bikes & Bulls - Rumble on the Runway event July 24th to 26th, 2020 ! This is a great program for anyone with children interested in motocross to come try it out on the 3 acre track at the event. Canadian Enduro Champion Jason Schrage and his crew will be leading this premium instruction class to children aged 6-12 over two classes on Saturday, July 25th, and two classes on Sunday, July 26th. While we are feverishly preparing for our 9th Annual Bikes & Bulls Charity event, our group is devastated to learn of the passing of our long time member and close friend Brian Grubbe. Brian had fought a hard battle against cancer over this past year, but can now rest without pain. Brian had been a long time member of the Airdrie Oilmen's Association and had been a organizer and supporter of everything we do for the past decade. I am blessed to have had so many fun memories ...with him over the past several years. He's influenced me in a number of ways over these years and I am so happy to have had him as a friend. He was one of the most giving unbelievable souls I have had the good fortune to meet in my life, and I will miss him dearly. Bikes & Bulls will be difficult this year, but we will press on knowing Brian is with us all in spirit. That's exactly what he would want and expect of us. Adrian Pruden See more
