Our Ag Society’s AGM is updated on the website. Monday, October 25th from 7-9pm At Golden Rod Hall. Click on the info for details for the meeting. https://www.airdrieagsociety.com/ag-events
This is one of only 3 working horse drawn corn pickers in the country. This one is a 4 horse (mule) powered combine. One row at a time! See it at the 2021 Nebr...aska State Hand Cornhusking at the Nebraska Prairie Museum in Holdrege. Edit: this post has generated a lot of comment. First, I don’t know if the show announcer meant this type or make of machine, or in our area. But they repeated several times this was one of only 3 working corn pickers. 2nd. I know this is a corn picker not a combine. The combine comment was an attempt at a joke regarding how much horse / mule power this machine has vs. the horsepower under the hood of a modern day combine. Thanks for watching.

Okay friends that aren't truck drivers, I have a public service announcement. This is what the mirrors on a big truck look like in the rain. I'm seventy feet lo...ng and sometimes can't see half that far back, so if you don't have your headlights on, I can't see you! I also weigh 105,000 pounds, so if I change lanes and tangle with you, I'll win...I'll probably get the ticket, but that won't mean a lot to you if you end up dead. Just use your head and if it's raining, snowing, or foggy, TURN YOUR HEADLIGHTS ON. See more
Premier Jason Kenney announced Airdrie, along with other communities in Alberta, have been moved to Enhanced status. This triggers the City's mandatory mask bylaw and puts a provincial restriction of a 15 person maximum on social gatherings. Visit www.Airdrie.ca/COVID
