#Airdrie please #Share We are not ones to post a controversial topic... or argue with you publicly about bad behavior. Well today is the day.... This summer we made the decision that for ALL INDOOR markets we host this year we would make masks mandatory. Side note: it is actually legally required now per the 'Enhanced' Status in the city of Airdrie.... but lets get back to why we have to have a chat: ... At the Airdrie Christmas Show! today we had some exceptionally ignorant people. One gentleman blew in our direction with no mask on when we asked him to put one on (first of all.... eew!... who wants to get hot air blown at them? I hope he feels ashamed for his bad behavior). Other people argued relentlessly with our staff at the door about their 'right' not to wear a mask. And let's just say: Yes it is your right not not wear a mask. Just like it is our right to tell you that you can not enter unless you have a face mask on. Shields are not acceptable.... those plastic chin 'masks' are not acceptable... they need to cover your nose and fit against your nose/cheeks/chin etc.... and guess what? We have attached this handy photo for you to see what is appropriate. Abuse of our staff or vendors will not be tolerated, and you will be refused entry at our indoor events if you do not have a face mask on. No exemptions. If you have a 'Medical Exemption- we can not guarantee your safety, nor the safety of our vendors and other shoppers.... therefore you will not be permitted entrance into these indoor markets. It has taken a lot of blood, sweat and tears... and sanitizer to keep this market open through a pandemic. No amount of rude or pushy behavior is going to change this policy during the pandemic.... not even if Airdrie is no longer on the 'Enhanced' list.... we will still require masks as long as we are indoors. So if you feel the need to be rude... aggressive, belittle our staff/vendors or pick a fight.... it will get you to town of disappointment, population: you. No Shirt No shoes No Mask No Service
