Hi Airdrie! Just checking in to let you know that the last of our units will be receiving their cookies today-it’s been a tricky cookie season for us to navigate for many reasons, but we together we are rocking it! You may have seen cookies in the community in the last few weeks-thank you for supporting us! If you are still looking for cookies, you can either click on one of the cookie links below or send us a DM and we will connect you with a unit that’s selling. Cookies ...are our primary fundraiser-the funds go towards unit activities like camps (day camps for now), field trips and outings. They also support badges, craft supplies and awards for our members-the list is endless! Once again, thank you Airdrie. Thank you parents, cookie customers, local meeting spaces (we see you Balzac Hall, Goldenrod Hall, ACA School, Boys and Girls Club and Genesis Place!), our Girls and of course, our AMAZING volunteers. Hey Airdrie!! Betcha you’re wondering where our delicious fall mint chocolate cookies are...well, we have some really exciting news for you! Real, live, in person cookies are coming to Airdrie in just a couple short weeks, and we are busy behind the scenes trying to do our best to be prepared (see what I did there?) to sell our fall cookies to our great city in person safely. You may see online ordering available, which is very exciting, however, we have largely opted to s...ell in person in Airdrie to give our Girls that door to door experience as well as to give us some outdoor activities to do while we are mandated to meet outside. We thank you in advance for having your $5, $10 or $20 bill (or heck even your couch change!) ready by the door for when we come around-we will do our best to give you notice as to when this will happen. We will also post our own online selling link for those who may have missed our door to door folks, so stay tuned to this page for that. Hello Airdrie! Girl Guides is BACK! We are currently working through our Covid protocols and getting back on our Guiding feet, thank you for your patience and ongoing support! One of the big changes for this fall is our meeting locations - GGC has put us into the "Outdoor 2" stage of meetings, which means that units will be meeting outside for the next little while. Please be patient while unit Guiders work to set up spaces and places that work for the group to keep everyo...ne safe, if you haven't heard from your unit Guider so far - you should be in the coming week or so. Also a friendly reminder that our Guiders are (and always have been!) VOLUNTEERS and are also navigating this fall for their own families - as with everything, patience is a valuable thing to carry in your toolbox these days. A heartfelt thanks to those who have registered and trusted in our process so far - and for those that are on a wait list, now is the time to consider becoming a volunteer!
