PLANT SHARE June 25, 7:30 PM Airdrie Agricultural Centre 97 East Lake Ramp NE... The Horticultural Society is very pleased to announce that we will be holding our annual spring plant exchange. No plants no problem! If you have some to share that's great. We usually do have extra. This also is a great opportunity to discuss gardening with local Airdrie gardeners. We will be observing the Covid 19 guidelines. If you have a fever or are not feeling well, please do not attend. Observe social distancing of 6 feet and bring a mask in case we cannot observe the six foot guideline. We can supply. There will not be any refreshments supplied this year. Join us in the sustainable hobby of 2020. This is free to everyone!

The workshop scheduled for today, March 26 has been cancelled. We had planned on Sullivan Arborist to come in and give us some guidelines to do maintenance on our trees. We hope to have them back this fall. Everyone please take care in this very difficult time and we hope to see you all soon. Edit- this tree is in Red Deer, AB

Growing Potatoes - February 27 Our guest speaker this month is Stan Mills from Eagle Creek Seed Potato farm. This is a recently certified organic farm from Bowden Alberta. He will be sharing the do's and don'ts of growing potatoes in Alberta and will have some samples to share. They have a wide variety of unusual potatoes in different sizes and all the colours of the rainbow. ... We will be able to offer a garden club discount to all attendees. You can order very small amounts and in different varieties. Perfect for most small gardens today! Tea and homemade cookies will be provided. We meet at Alberta Agricultural Centre in Airdrie, 97 East Lake Ramp NE at 7:30 - 8:30 This months meeting is February 27. Members are free and a membership is $25 / year Drop in is $5
