WESTJET CUTS SERVICE AND POCKETS PASSENGERS' MONEY Airline passengers trying to fly to the Maritimes say they aren’t being provided with a full refund after WestJet announced it would be significantly cutting services in the East Coast. Passenger rights activist Gábor Lukács says providing vouchers rather than a full refund is unlawful and verging on fraudulent.

CANADIAN TRANSPORTATION AGENCY LOSES BID TO TOSS OUT AIR PASSENGER RIGHTS' CASE OVER "STATEMENT ON VOUHCERS" A Federal Court of Appeal judge has dismissed an attempt by Canada’s transportation regulator to prevent a hearing on its stance on flight credit for travellers. Justice Wyman Webb said in a ruling released on October 2, 2020 that the advocacy group should not be deprived of its argument related to the reasonable apprehension of bias and dismissed the regulator’s request to toss the case.
