#MCHAPPYDAY Do you like Happy Meals? Do you like McDonalds Coffee (its basically crack)? Do you like socks?... Well if you do make sure you stop by your local McDonalds to support a great cause! Hooray for #MCHAPPYDAY

Do you like ice? I for one enjoy a nice Coca Cola with an absurd amount of ice. Do you have a Commercial Ice Machine? ... Well guess what? We clean those babies. Ice Machine Cleanings are a must in the restaurant business. These machines quickly acquire mold and scale build up which is NO BUENO! Thats where we come in! We professionally clean your units with cleaners, making sure we get every nook and cranny so the mold monster is defeated. But alas the mold monster is only temporarily defeated, most Ice Machines need to be cleaned at LEAST two times a year. Just for you Ive attached a photo of an Ice Machine evaporator with the mold monster and another after we cleaned his a$$ (am I allowed to say that? Who knows social media is crazy guys). Interested? Tuesday Tip CRACK! Listen, our cold, cold winters, polar vortex and all can be pretty bad on our homes. Harsh winds bring debris that can create cracks and loosen seals around windows and doors. ... Spring would be a great time to seal up any leaks and cracks you may have discovered. Do this now before it truly gets nice out and you use every excuse in the book to not do your chores. Once youve taken care of those pesky cracks your HVAC unit wont have to work so hard to keep you from turning into a puddle in the summer while at the same time saving you some $$$. Happy Tuesday and remember Crack is Wack.

Its Friday everyone! Hope you are all enjoying the beautiful dull grey skies, the constant back and forth on whether you should wash your car and your current love/hate relationship with The Jets. But enough about that, did you know that Air Wise Inc offers a little something to our Commercial Refrigeration clients called a Refrigeration Coil Cleaning?... What is an RCC? Well basically we clean your Condenser and Evaporator coils which are the main players of your coolers/freezers. Pictured is an Air Cooled Condenser (this one for an under counter cooler) pre-cleaning. Youre looking at an accumulation of dust/dirt. Not only is this kinda gross it also puts undo stress on the units compressor and components shortening their life span and costing you money (which makes the world go round I hear). Tuesday Tip TAKE HER FOR A SPIN! Spring is here folks, the Jets made the playoffs, the Cadbury McFlurry is out, everything is as it should be.... So its time to take your A/C out for a little pre-Spring ride. Pick a nice warm day to turn on that hibernating A/C, switch your HVAC system from Heat to Cool, adjust your T-Stat and let it run a complete cycle. While its cycling pay attention for any of these signs: *Weird noises like banging or knocking around *Does it smell odd or is that just you? *Does it stop mid-cycle? *Go outside and check out your unit there for the same things, noises, smells, clear anything blocking your A/C (oh yes and remove the cover...duh) *Go back in and open up the vents in all your rooms, make sure they are clear as well *And most importantly can you actually feel it getting cooler? If you feel that your A/C unit isnt quite running the way it should be schedule a spring maintenance with us (and only us) to make sure its ready to go for you once that Winnipeg heat comes in. Tuesday Tip USE YOUR EARS! Yes we are back with tips...on Tuesdays (for this week at least).... I dont know if you heard but its cold out -50 im being told and yet I still refuse to plug in my car because im too lazy to find the cord. Anyway, what do I mean about using your ears? Well when you run your heat listen for strange noises, thumps or squeals that were not there before. These strange noises may be indications of a bigger problem to come that a professional (ahem Air Wise) should look at. So what Im trying to say is if your furnace is sounding like a Limp Bizkit concert (does that reference age me?) and its -50 out maybe dont wait for the thing to die on you, do yourself a favor and have it checked out. Stay warm guys!

Another year coming to an end! Tuesday Tip GET A MAINTENANCE DONE! I know what youre thinking, this Tuesday Tip costs money! And you are correct but it does not make it any less of a solid Tuesday Tip so relax.... One of the things our techs do during a maintenance inspection is check your Heat Exchanger. Simply put a Heat Exchanger is what seperates the raw flame from the air in your home. Age causes corrosion which causes holes in your Heat Exchanger. Below is a super cool bad ass video of a Heat Exchanger lighting as it should minding its own business until the fan comes on and then FLAMES BABY FLAMES (which is very dangerous and serious) caused by the holes in the exchanger. Unfortunately your units are going to get dirty, whether its due to tree fluff, dust, pigeons its going to happen. ...
