Good evening valued customers! Aisle V is proud to present the first edition of our fundraiser shows, entitled The Checkout Series. Volume 1 is hitting the shelves on April 27th, and has a line up that’s loaded with nutrition all 5 food groups in one great package! In order to successfully launch our projects and hit the ground running in the Fall, we need your help through donations, support, and a whole lot of love. For our first instalment, we will be holding a DIY show... set in the backyard of one of our store managers’ homes. We will be selling a limited number of tickets through Eventbrite for $10 + service fees, and since service fees SUCK, that price will also provide you with two raffle tickets (valued at $2) for some great prizes that we will announce shortly! There will also be a limited amount of tickets at the door for $10, or $7 with a non-perishable food item. As our mission is to create a welcoming, comfortable, and intimate community, the least we could do is give something back. Although sales will go to Aisle V’s start-up costs, all non-perishables will be donated to Fort York Food Bank. We will also be selling raffle tickets for prizes, as well as drink tickets for beer and a specially designed tequila cocktail provided by our sponsor, Tromba Tequila. As a collective we want to assist the amazing artists that make-up Toronto’s DIY community with gig opportunities that are unlike any other. We will be hosting FIVE shows over the course of the next FIVE months. We want to showcase the coolest of the cool, the people who embody inclusivity, cre...ativity, and general awesomeness. Our shows will exist as DIY experiences in many different ways. We want to exist without hierarchical bills, and we have a zero tolerance policy for discrimination.
