NEW CLASS! Rest and Restore Thursdays 1:45 3:00 pm Join Agi for a new class designed to support complete relaxation for body, mind and spirit. This grounding practice offers a series of long-held supported poses followed by a guided relaxation to help soothe and restore you. Restorative yoga invites us to relearn the art of relaxation and improve our ability to feel calm and resilient during stressful times. It enhances our healing capacity by helping us regulate the stress response and re-balance the nervous system. Expect to leave feeling relaxed, rested and rejuvenated. The first night of Hanukkah was also the last night of teacher training for our Fall 240 hour group. The celebration honouring light and darkness seemed fitting for the graduation of our new yoga teachers. They preserved through many individual struggles, holding each other up with absolute love and compassion. A new community was created. What an honour to be part of this magic.

A new BC province-wide regulation has suspended all in-person yoga classes. The Provincial Health Officer (PHO) is currently developing new guidelines, and we will update you with new information as soon as we know more. We are temporarily pausing all in-person classes. All classes will be be taught live online. If you signed up for an in-person class this week, you will receive an email notifying you of the class cancellation. Does yoga help balance? The 10-week study looked at the impact of yoga on cognition, motor learning, and balance in older adults, in their 60s and 70s. "Just a couple weekly yoga classes may help improve your balance and motor learning skills, according to a new study published in the September 2020 issue of Experimental Gerontology.
