Why is Canine First Aid worth it? Its worth it just for having the peace of mind knowing your doing the right thing. This handsome man is my in laws farm dog chumlee. Unfortunately on his way down the steps on the combine he took a tumble and got his back leg caught on the stair. He hung there like that for a moment until my father in law could get him down. That could have easily broken his leg. They called me to come check it out because at that point most of the vet offices were closed. After a quick look, he just strained it. Ice every couple hours, rest and observation is what's needed for now. Being able to know what to do and how to do it in a timely matter can make a world of difference.
