@robertcrippsconstruction using 812P Multipurpose Low Expansion Foam to insulate a large window install .......... Well when an old home is in need of repair you dive in and get it done. The old bay window that used to be here had water issues and went unnoticed for years to the point where the old window rioted and was falling off the house. So that means we were into a little structural repair. We had to cut the riot out and replace the rim joist and while we were at it we ...insulated the joist cavity. Now with our repaired sub-straight we primed the outer perimeter and blueskined it, witch is an air and moisture barrier and helps project the structure. Once this was complete I pre shimmed the bottom so we would drop our window right in place and it gave me the room to install spray foam insulation. After everything was shimmed and fastened we used @akfixna spray foam to insulate around the window to make it airtight. Now you’ll have to wait till the next vid for the finishing See more
