There's been lots of time to slow down and reflect over the past six weeks! Maybe look over some old photos, journal, or take the time to learn something new. Although it seems like ages ago, I found this photo from February 2020.

We are taking extra precautions this week to further safeguard patients from the spread of COVID-19. We are referring to the Ministry of Health and the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) for guidance and best practices. We have implemented the following practices at our office this week: Rescheduling clients to ensure no face to face contact with other clients. Increased vigilance using disinfectant spray on all surfaces before and after every client.... Restricting service only to essential muscle and joint conditions. Restricting service only to those clients who have no symptoms of illness and who have not been travelling outside of BC within the last 14 days. Hand washing before and after every client. In order to ensure we follow these policy changes we are asking all of our clients with any symptoms of illness to please cancel their appointment with as much advanced warning as possible. You can do so online or by phone at 604.943.1006. You will not be charged for cancelling your appointment if you are sick! We also ask that clients practice social distancing by arriving only at their scheduled time. If you arrive early, please wait in your car or outside the office. Please be extremely diligent about hand washing, and use the hand sanitizer upon entry. If you must cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose by using your elbow. If you are sick, please cancel your appointment and stay home. Thanks for your cooperation and taking these steps to protect yourself and those around you!

As always the health and well being of our patients is our highest priority. We will remain in full operation but will be taking further steps to reduce the possibility of transmission of COVID-19. Proper hand washing, covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing and staying home when you're sick is the best protection. We have increased vigilance with hand washing, and posted guidelines on improved hand hygiene, cough and sneeze etiquette. In between patients we ar...e disinfecting all surfaces. Staff and clients showing any signs or experiencing symptoms have been asked to stay home. Please notify us as early as possible if you are having symptoms and are unable to attend your appointment. You will not be charged a cancellation fee. The VCH pandemic self care guide, Look after yourself is available at: sneezesdiseases.com/resou/pandemic-prep-look-after-yourself.
