Taking action to improve your health doesn't have to be complicated. Here are a few suggestions to get you started. Meal planning: Planning your meals is a great way to help you stay on track when trying to eat healthier. ... It also saves you from having to answer the age-old question, "What are we going to have for dinner?" Plus, save you money because you'll have less food waste. Managing stress: Our immune system is significantly affected by stress that can lead to illness. Stress has been linked to heart disease, obesity, depression and anxiety, IBS, and Alzheimer's disease. When feeling stressed, take a minute to breathe in deeply with a long-extended exhale. Repeat this 2 or 3 times. Other techniques for stress reduction are meditation, walking in nature and exercise. Exercise: Remember, exercise doesn't have to be an over-intense workout. A walk may be just the thing you need. There's now evidence that shows walking may prevent heart attack and weight gain and can help hypertension and musculoskeletal disorders like injuries to muscles, tendons, joints and spinal discs.

It's Taco Tuesday!! And I looooove a good taco! When making a taco, I use organic grass feed and pasture-raised beef. I make my guacamole using lime, avocado, cilantro, garlic, and salt! ... I skip the sour cream and use dairy-free cheese and organic salsa. I put all this on a lettuce wrap! Super healthy and delicious!!! Tell us how you make your tacos?

We are what we eat! Toxins are all around us- there are some that we simply can't avoid, but others that we can; for example, the toxins we find in our furniture, the paint in our homes, or the chemicals on and in our food. Knowing where to find them and how to reduce or avoid them will help us live healthier and longer lives.
In the average Canadian diet, 11% of sodium comes from the salt we use to season our food- however, 70% of our salt comes from processed foods. Therefore if you're trying to reduce your salt intake, cut the processed foods and cook more from scratch. Here's a tip; exchange white salt or table salt for unrefined salts like Pink Himalayan salt or Celtic Salt.
For Canada, Labour Day has its roots in the Toronto's printers' strike in 1872. They were fighting for a nine-hour work day vs the twelve-hour work day they were currently working. Parades of workers and sympathizers of the new labour law led to an annual celebration - Labour Day.
