As we say goodbye to 2020, the members of Al Amira Temple No. 157 in Edmonton would like to wish all Daughters of the Nile and their families a very Happy New Year! As we welcome 2021, may we all stay safe, healthy and happy and continue to focus on the work we do making a difference in the lives of our Shrine children.

Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends

The Al Shamal Shrine Center was a bee hive of activity last Thursday morning (November 12th) as some ladies from Al Amira Temple #157, with help from some of our Al Shamal Shriners got together to pack up 12 Boxes stuffed with items for the children at the Shriners Hospital for Children Canada. Stuffies, Heart Shaped Pillows, Ice Bags, Ilizarov Covers, Quilts, Blankets, Stuffed Aninmals were some of the items that were lovingly sewn by our Nile ladies. A big shout out to our Nile ladies and some of their friends who spent hours putting these items together. Thank you to Pet Smart in St Albert for the donation of stuffed animals, AMJ Campbell Van Lines - Edmonton for the boxes! Also, thank you to Canadian Freightways for shipping these boxes to Montreal for us!! These items are going to make a lot of our Shrine kids very happy!
