Dear Clients, After many months of upheaval and life altering changes I have had to make the incredibly difficult decision to not return to Robin’s Nest at this time I am still offering house calls but have very limited availability. Please reach out if you haven't already to be added to my email update list or for a referral ... This week I went to the clinic to collect my personal belongings and I have to say that was the hardest thing I’ve had to do in a while... it’s one thing to make a choice freely and quite another feeling a decision has been made for you (thanks Covid) The clinic looks great and feels very warm and inviting despite not having some of the extra things that made the reception area special. Please consider seeing one of the other talented therapists in my absence Covid sure has shaken things up and flipped them upside down... I hope as you all put the pieces of life back together in this new reality you find your way with ease. Until we meet again Yours in health, Alana Sutherland, RMT

I’m surrounded by amazing people in my life... including one of my besties who is a nurse here in Guelph. She is a caring, smart, and an invaluable grounding force to all the mamas she works with. How scary it must be bringing little ones into the world during this pandemic... It warms my heart to know some will have her in the room... I know from experience!! Just over 5 years ago she was on shift and there for me when my son was born, so I know how important her presence... is during labour and birthing. This week is nurses week and I wanted to send her the biggest thank you YOU my friend are essential Hats off to all nurses who give of themselves everyday #2020YearOfTheNurses #NotAllHeroesWearCapes

Thinking about my patients & community friends who are expecting and what’s to come in the months and years ahead... new normals will be developing and support for these mamas will be essential

We all have our moments of stress... and during these uncertain times it’s easy to get sucked into the stress game... the more you stress about stress the more stress there is! I have been finding meditation to be an incredible tool, for both myself and my children through these days of isolation. There are incredible free resources on YouTube, podcasts, apps and other websites... finding something that works for you might be a bit of a journey, but that’s part of ...the fun! Discover more about yourself and find ways to let go of it all, even for just 5mins a day Addressing these stressors is vital to our wellbeing, if you’d like to learn more about why & some practical tips read this: https://www.psychologytoday.com//how-can-kindness-help-us- If you’d like to try meditation and don’t know where to start... here’s a YouTube link to Calm... they also have an app with a free section which can track your progress https://www.youtube.com/user/calmdotcom Feel free to share your meditation resources below... I’m always looking for more to add to my collection
