October has arrived. The weather forecast looks pretty good for a while but there's always a little rain involved. We had a busy weekend at the course with a co...uple events and regular play. We hosted the Men's Night Finale on Saturday and prior to, we had our KP Shootout. The 2021 KP weekly winners hit one shot from 8 tee to 7 green for the grand prize. Quite the shot over the pond. A little bit of rain and then some sunshine later this week. The course is still very playable and we have started Fall rates as of today. The 2021 version of the Nine and Dine has come to a conclusion. Many thanks to all that played throughout the year and we will be starting a winter version of Nine and Dine shortly. The Tuesday Night Ladies had their windup scramble on Sunday the 26th and we had 51 ladies attend the event. The shootout winners were : 1st- Wendy Thoms...on 2nd- Suzanne Jones and Mallory Luchinski ( Tied) 4th- Ilona McLeod 5th- Angie Krahn Well done ladies. In the team event the 4 some of Jani Denis, Deb Pearson, Mel Mihaychuk and Kelly Gauthier prevailed and claimed victory. Kp winners were Julie Pike and Twyla Slonski. nice shots ladies. The ladies enjoyed a nice dinner and we raised some money for Ty Watson House with some raffle activity. Many thanks to all for playing all year and all our special helpers. The Alberni GC had the Mens Club Championship on the weekend. Congratulations to Colton Buffie for coming through in the somewhat bad weather and winning the 20...21 Club Championship. 25 players showed up the Championship and well done to all who showed in the 2 day gross event. 1st - Colton Buffie 2nd- Josh Harvey 3rd- Mike Savard 4th- Preben Rasmussen 5th- Jim Proteau Congrats again Colton and well done. The month of January has gone by quick. Not so bad of weather for the snowbirds experiencing winter for the 1st time in a while. Hopefully February is the same ...format but ..... never know. The golf course is open, range is open and Pro Shop is open daily. The restaurant is open Monday to Friday with Fridays open a little later for dinner. Reservations are recommended as we fill up quickly. With the month of February comes Valentines Day. Ron and staff and Nahdean and staff are taking reservations for Valentines dinner at the Eagles Nest Restaurant. Dinner will be served Saturday Feb 13th and Sunday Feb 14th, 5:00 - 8:00 on both . The golf course is open as usual, maybe a little bit wet and maybe a little bit cold but very playable. The greens are being cut today and are in great shape. W...e are still offering great green fee deals when you come out to play. The Pro Shop is open after our renovation and new stock is slowly arriving for the 2021 season. The restaurant is open Monday to Thursday 11:30 to 3 and Fridays 11:30 to 7:00 for dinner. Check out our winter dinner special on our website. Please adhere to our Covid protocols, masks on when entering the restaurant until you are seated and when ever you are up out of chair. New Years Eve 2020. The course is open, a little wet after the heavy downfall of rain yesterday but greens have been cut and are in really good shape. The shop ...is closed on New Years day but back to normal 7 days a week on January 2nd. ( 8 - 3 ) The range is open daily. The restaurant is going to be back open on the 4th and will be on winter hours. The Pro Shop sale continues through January with items such as shoes, clothing, clubs, hats, bags, pull carts and winter weather wear all minimum 20% off. Great time to get your clubs regripped and we are offering a great sale on Dri Tac grips and also others. Something we forget about is getting our shoes and boots respiked. The longer you wait the harder it is for our spike tech to get the old spikes out. New item in the Pro Shop is the Tiger / Charlie Woods golf ball. June 1st 2020, the restaurant is now open and 9 and Dines start today. $35.00 for our guests which includes 9 holes of golf and an $18.00 voucher in the restaurant. Offered Monday through Friday after 3:00 and dinner to be ordered by 8:30 please. The voucher is only valid for the day of purchase. Please follow our social distancing protocols.

A couple weeks to Christmas and we are still enjoying decent weather. Despite the heavy rains we had, the course is very playable. The greens are in fantastic shape and the ball is bouncing in spots where it has never bounced before. Still offering great prices on green fees throughout December and January. Give us a call 250-723-5422 in the Pro Shop. The Pro Shop sale continues on with great pricing on all items in the shop with some new arrivals expected this week. Pro Shop hours are 8 AM - 4PM and masks are required in the Shop please. The restaurant has gone to Winter hours, Monday to Friday 11:30 to 3:30 and closed on weekends. The Golf Course opened to the public today. Phone the Pro Shop @250-723-5422 to book tee time. NO WALK ONS. With respect to the Covid 19 protocols we are follow...ing, a waiver has to be signed before playing 1st time. NO Pull or Power Cart rentals for the time being. The range is closed. With nothing but rain and more rain we have decided to postpone the Nov 21st couples event until further notice. Our annual Christmas sale will be on Thursday, December 3rd from 3-7pm. The weather has definatley changed, a little colder. Good time to check out our warm weather gear in the Pro Shop. Boots, gloves and touques.. Maybe some insole... warmers !!!. Skins game continued last Sunday with Tylo Smith, Jack Sparks (again ), Sam Parhar, Bill Barrett ( Two) and Dave Mann (Two) winning skins. Every Sunday is a skins game and as long as you have an established handicap you are eligible to play in Net Skins. The Iron Person Scramble went off on Saturday. 36 players braved it in the chill and wind. I guess it is November though Two weeks from now we will be hosting a Couples Scottish 2 Ball event. 10:30 Shotgun Start. $10 per head with a special green fee for Non members. Sign up up in the Pro Shop as a couple. Winter Dine and 9's are on the schedule now. Have lunch and play 9 holes, $25 per person. Nice way to spend a sunny day at the Golf Course.
