What could be better than a hand-made present for Christmas, especially when this present is made by your children? Christmas Wreath and Cookie Decoration Workshop on November 21 was designed to help your children create a beautiful hand-made gift for their friends and family, complemented with all the tips to replicate it at home and followed by a cookie decoration class. You will be truly amazed by what your 4+ year old child can create in 2 hours Workshop is open for ...kids up to 12 years old and complexity of the design they choose will be adjusted according to age group. During this workshop your children will learn: design and execution of applications from various materials - paper, cardboard, fabric, etc. work with different types of constructor; use their creative thinking to develop additional elements of decor; modeling. There are only few spots left for this workshop, which is going to be accompanied by holiday cheers, Christmas jungle and hot chocolate. Registration is open until Friday night (November 20). Is your child ready to be home alone? Home Alone course from Alberta Educational Centre helps your children prepare for their first steps towards adulthood. During the 4 hours we spend together, participants go through the following topics:... The importance of responsibility and respect while being accountable for yourself The importance of setting and following safety rules when on your own How to stay safe at home and within the community How to prepare for, recognize and respond to unexpected situations (e.g., inclement weather, strangers, and unanticipated visits) Basic first aid skills and much more This program is ideal for children aged 7 to 12. You can also register siblings 5+ years old for free. Upon completion of the course your children will learn to stay safe at home and you will feel much more comfortable and at ease leaving them. We only have 1 intake planed before holidays (on December 13) for Home Alone Program and 2 intakes for Babysitting (December 6 and December 12), both with limited seats.
