It is with extreme sadness we share with our members the sudden passing of Brother Bill Blake. For his contributions to the Elks of Canada and the betterment of the members across Canada he will be forever missed. Thank you Brother Bill for your years of friendship, guidance and leadership.

Having access to our own Foundation allows our Lodges to #Give to causes close to our hearts. The Medicine Hat Elks Lodge 412 recently accessed funds from the Alberta Elks Foundation and was able to present a check for $1000 to HALO Air Ambulance. Not familiar with HALO Air Ambulance? Here is a little bit about them; The Southern Alberta MedicAir Society was formed to raise funds for and promote MedicAir. The society is registered as a charitable society with both the Federa...l and Alberta Governments. Our latest endeavor is to fund and sustain a dedicated medical Rescue Helicopter for this area. Helicopter Air Lift Operation or H.A.L.O. began operations on July 4, 2007. H.A.L.O. has been dispatched in excess of 100 times since inception. H.A.L.O. was used extensively during the Irvine flood in June of 2010, assisting with the dramatic rescue of three people.
