Hello and good morning, After further review with AHS and reading more of the rules and regulations currently in place, it appears we are not able to stay open for these next two weeks. A group is defined as 2 or more. A private lesson is only allowed 1 teacher to 1 student and they MUST remain 2 meters apart at all times. In addition, this also makes it not feasible for couples to practice. This makes it very difficult for us to remain open. We have not come to this decisi...on lightly but unfortunately these restrictions make it near impossible to remain open. So we've decided to close. We are really hoping it will only be for 2 weeks. We are currently setting up group classes online. Students in current classes will be contacted and given a link and password for their class. As you may have already heard there have been new restrictions set out by the Alberta government today. To follow these new restrictions we will be cancelling ALL group lessons for the next 2 weeks "IN PERSON" (We will reevaluate after those 2 weeks and give another update.) Some of the classes will be still taught via Zoom... please check your email if you were registered in one of our classes to see if it will be taught on zoom. We will remain open for private lessons and ...individual practicing. We are currently working on hours of operation and deciding if those will stay the same or change for the next couple of weeks. It is will great consideration that we have decided it is best to cancel the dance tonight. With the influx of numbers of cases of Covid this past week, and the many cancellations of participants, we decided the the health of our students is priority. We know that weather for calgarians doesn't usually come into consideration but with the recent dump of snow and a projected -20 this evening, we took this into consideration as well.
