Canine Handler Captain Smith and K9 Marshal would like to thank Alberta K9 and the local news media for this morning's meet and greet. K9 Marshal loved demonstrating his search skills!

After a month of having his paws on the ground, Marshal is ready to meet the community at his first news media meet & greet tomorrow morning! Did you know that one of his littermates has already met Edmonton? His name is Sammy and he was named by Connor McDavid last year! 12/12

In June, Marshal met his new boss, Fire Chief Zatylny. Marshal was assigned to the Fire Investigations section, based out of Fire Station No. 2. Did you know? M...arshal is EFRS' first food-reward canine. This means that he must follow a strict regime and the only person who can give him food/treats is his partner, Ian. 11/12

On July 21, 2021, the duo passed the Canine Accelerant Detection Association Certification exam. Ian and Marshal are now an official Canine Accelerant Detection Team (CADT). 10/12
