I swear Drew Barnes has a pact with Jason Kenney because JK is obviously "permitting" him to push the Independence narrative. When I asked Drew this awhile ago he just grinned and did not reply. Given that Kenney is still pushing the meaningless "Equalization Referendum" idea as a sop to Separatists I'm surprised he'd let Barnes run with this stuff, especially as he must see his own popularity waning badly among us Independence types. This is amazing... astonishing. Imagine - Regina Cancel Culture shutting down the Oil industry that pays most of their bills. My great-nephew who just graduated from Law and his sister who has a degree in business just left there and moved to Alberta. Socialism has a long history and powerful hold on Saskatchewan. I know. I grew up there and I was surrounded by people "from the old country" - mostly Eastern Europe & Soviet satellite countries that were steeped in 100s of year...s of communist authoritarian gov'ts. It was hard for these people to adopt the Free Enterprise, individualist values that were a part of the British model that fashioned most of Canada at the time. Then along came Tommy Douglas. He is a hero to Leftists. Once you put people on gov't monopoly health care, the most pervasive social safety net because everyone uses it, you inculcate the Nanny State mentality, and Canada's started by a Socialist in Saskatchewan. There was some important positives to socialized medicine at the time when hospitals and health care was often inaccessible to most families. Rural families were large and, to a great extent, self-sufficient so it worked well to provide some basic medical care for childbirth and childhood diseases, etc, but it established the mind set that only gov't could take care of people and the private sector was there for those seeking profits, not social good. This attempt to virtually strangle the fossil fuel industry right in the middle of Oil country is a relic of that old Big Govt, Nanny State Regina mentality I grew up with. It strangled entreneurship and individualism that fuels the private sector. The province stood still, in fact lost most of its industrious youth for decades. Most of them are now here in Alberta and Sask has only grown up & put on big boy pants in the last decade. The cities of both Sask & AB are still the breeding ground of perpetual Socialism. Our municipal gov'ts are determined to keep them that way, too. We'll never stop this slide into Urban socialism unless strong conservatives start running for local and municipal gov'ts and the rest of us help to fund them. It has taken only a mere 6 months to do so since O'Toole was elected Leader! Can anything sicken you more than that? Anyone who stays in this Party or donates a dime to it is contributing to this nasty Leftist narrative. If you, as I did, supported and even donated, as I did, to Derek Sloan's leadership bid you have been branded as "not fit" to belong to the CPC. They'll gladly take your money but they'll just as gladly have contempt for you. Surely you have more self-respect than to belong to a Party like this? I phoned every Edmonton area MP today and let them know what I thought of them and their Party, including of course, my MP James Cumming, and demanded my $350. bucks back. I hope others do the same. So, Drew Barnes took to the floor today to defend the Alberta Independence movement after Rachel Notley and the NDP decided we should all be "Condemned". He was great. I am disappointed with this article. I don't think it represented him well. It spent more time talking about the non-Separatist WIPA & the non-committed Hinman than about what Barnes said on the floor of the Legislature. Still, it was good to see the Calgary Herald pick up the story quickly. I am talking to Ba...rnes often trying to move him over to our movement - 100%. I have committed to invest significantly in any Party he leads that has a CLEAR mandate for Independence. He has been keeping his options open but I am betting he is closer now than ever to walking away from the UCP and leading a Separatist movement. Who knows - Kenney may soon not be willing to give him freedom to keep up his open campaign for a Referendum on Independence from his seat on the UCP benches. But I think Barnes has quite a bit of support within the Caucus. If he makes the move, or is forced out, I hope you all will be on board and support him. I called the NDP Caucus and Rachel Notley today and let them know how we Separatists felt about being "condemned", or as Braid put it, called "Deplorables" by them. We ask ourselves Why are the politicians and bureaucrats continuing to go way over the top in their predictions about Covid? We know that in the beginning they didn't know what to expect but since then it has become obvious that these scare tactics, the lockdowns, the we'll send the police to force masking compliance in your home, hospitals are full of dying people, etc are just plain false and wrong. So why? Follow the votes. Kenney doesn't need more votes on the Right; he ...needs whatever he can glean from the moderate Left. And it is simply good "vote-getting" business to pander to the public sector and their unions to do that. It is, and has been, all about catering to nurses unions, teachers unions, public sector unions, all those folks who have guaranteed jobs and paychecks who'd prefer not to have to work so hard, or at all, while still pulling in full pay. They don't care about the rest of us nor does Kenney give a damn about Joe and Mary struggling in the private sector economy or trying to keep their small business from dying - the places he is locking down? They are mostly conservative voters already and he's happy to kick them to the curb in exchange for a few votes he can drag out of the civil service. A tsunami! In the October issue of Maclean’s a letter from Dr. Adrian Fine, the euthanasia doctor, was published that implied Canadians should welcome the death of people who refused the Covid vaccine, among other severe punishments for these people. Letter attached. Shortly after 70 people signed a letter of Complaint to the College of Physicians and Surgeons. (also attached below). I wrote a letter to the Editor of Maclean’s regarding their decision to publish the letter. (attached b...elow also). I found the Dr. Fine letter to be vile and offensive. It is only the Far Left Maclean’s magazine that would have published that letter. The idea that a Doctor would make the comments that he made in the letter is shocking imo, regardless what his opinion about people refusing the Covid vaccine. It will scary the hell out of you - and that is precisely why you need to listen. I know this is referring to the horrific Police State that is growing in much of Democrat States in the USA - California, New York, Oregon, Ohio, Colorado, etc but it is creeping right into our wonderful Alberta too. Just think about t...he Tracing App that Kenney is trying to force us to download onto or iPhones. DO NOT do it. Simply refuse. Here is why: This is pure Orwell 1984. The State has your name, address, information. You are now under surveillance. They can seize your property. They can virtually criminalize your refusal to "self-incriminate" - refusing to do so is supposed to be a legal Right. Doesn't matter. Your only hope of surviving in this growing Orwellian State is to Fight Back. Do NOT tell the authorities about any of your contacts if you test positive. Simply have a total lapse of memory: "Gee, I really haven't been around anyone. I can't recall just who I was around or where I've been." Simply refuse to "report" your friends - call them, let them know you tested positive, let them decide how they want to deal with the situation - but do not "turn them in'. If you "turn them in" once you, and they, are in the system and they can do whatever they want with you & them ~ and that includes putting you in "covid jail". Yes, they'll find ways to trace your contacts but, still at this point, they need to get a court order to take your phone or your computer. So, just do not cooperate. Do not volunteer or comply with anything. Fight Back. Force the Police State to act out it's authority to the limits. Force these draconian rules to be tested in the courts. Force what they are doing into the public sphere. It's very scary but it is the only way to take back your Rights & Freedom. Period. Watch and be informed. Because all of this is happening, both there and here, and it is happening behind your back, behind closed doors with the final intention of forcing you to be vaccinated. I'm convinced that is the ultimate goal. You decide if you want to be vaccinated - that is your total right. But when that decision is taken away from us and placed in the hands of the state, as it is now, in the law (yes, it is) then we might as well accept that we no longer have any right to anything, even our own bodies, our own lives.
