Keep seeing memes about thanking doctors, nurses, grocery staff, so on and so on for sticking to their jobs! Seems like people have forgot about cab drivers an...d other transportation services. These drivers are stuck in small areas with people that could be contaminated with this virus. If everything goes on complete lock down they are the ones still stuck on the road, being an emergency essential we have no choice but to keep these drivers going! We can't just work from home and close our doors like other companies So please, please, please if you are feeling the littlest bit off get someone else to do your running around, let's try not to put these guys at risk either! We have drivers that are specifically for driving customers around that are stuck in wheelchairs. Most of these customers are older and already have health issues, meaning more prone to getting this virus before anyone. So keep that in mind if you get into a handivan and are feeling sick. Our drivers are doing the best they can to keep their vehicles sanitized and virus free. But there is only so much a person can do under these circumstances! If any of our drivers were to get sick that is one less cab on the road for emergency needs! We have already lost quite a few drivers due to the scare of this virus and them having children at home, so we are trying our best to keep the ones we still have on the road. I personally want to thank the drivers that are willing to stick it out with us till the end, definitely not an easy decision to make! But we will all work together and be there for each other! If it wasn't for the guys that are still on the road no one would have had the means of transportation to go out and get all the supplies you needed this week for your families! Please keep that in mind when you get into a cab, dont be mean and nasty to the drivers like some people can be! They are putting themselves at risk just as much as the other professionals mentioned in memes! If there was a time for everyone to work together, this is the time. Let's keep everyone safe out there Sorry for the long post but everyone always forgets about the little people and I think these guys deserve to be recognized as well!

Police in the southern Alberta city said a female taxi driver picked up a passenger in downtown Medicine Hat Thursday night. Finally...justice for Rey and his family. I hope this comes as a wake up call to the public. We all make choices in life, including our profession and in NO WAY does this give anyone the right to judge another person by the way they look or the education or occupation that they have. Everyone is someone’s brother, father, sister or mother or loved very much by someone. Let’s all just be kind to each other, embrace our differences, put ourselves in someone else’s shoes and be open minded.
