Meet the Winter LakeKeepers. These volunteers are monitoring the ecological health of the lake including dissolved oxygen and temperature. The ice depth was 22 and the water was crystal clear to 7’. The Winter LakeKeepers program is run by Alberta Lake Management Society

Engagement Opportunity from Alberta Water Council: The Alberta Water Futures project is about figuring out potential challenges and opportunities facing water management in the future. It’s about scouting ahead so we can make decisions about what we might have to do so that water management can keep meeting the needs of Albertans. REMINDER: Feedback on the Province's proposed mooring standards closes December 14th. If you have not yet completed the survey follow the link below: Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) is considering a proposed disturbance standard under the Public Lands Administration Regulation. This disturbance standard addresses the approval process to place a mooring structure in a waterbody, such as a dock, boat lift, swimming platform or buoy anchor. AEP engaged with stakeholders and... some affected landowners on the proposed draft disturbance standard in May 2020, and are now looking for further feedback!
