February is Black History Month. Fil Fraser (AOE-2015) excelled as a broadcaster, journalist, writer, film producer, educator and avid spokesperson for human rights. For five decades, he played a leading role building a stronger arts and heritage community in Alberta, supporting emerging artists, championing multiculturalism and advocating for social justice. Max Ward passed away yesterday at the age of 98. Mr. Ward joined the RCAF in 1940. He revolutionized bush air transport in the Arctic in the 1950s and founded the commercial airline Wardair.
