The Bede in the shop finally making some progress. Panels are powder coated and some of the instruments are in and working. Still missing the comm center and 1 radio in the middle panel. In the section below will get a Garming GPS, the full Breakerless Power panel in the middle, Transponder and Autopilot controller. Still lots of wiring to do, but finally some progress that can be seen...

What is the difference between God and a pilot? God doesn’t think he’s a pilot.

just to good to not share: St. Louis Approach to United: "United 132 best speed to the outer marker, you're number one." United 132: a male voice: "Roger, balls to the wall."... St. Louis Approach to American: "American 4821, you're number two behind a United 737, follo w him, cleared visual, best speed." An American 4821 Female Pilot: "Well, I can't do balls to the wall, but I can do wide open." See more

What is the worst thing that can happen when you are flying? - running out of airspeed, altitude and ideas all at the same time.

we just learned today that the grass runway in Heisler is the perfect place to try out the skidoo. Finally a place I can hit the trottle all the way and now flying of the seat on a bump... And it flattened the snow on the runway. Way more fun than using machinery to do it hahaha

You can’t fly unless you can land, but you can’t land unless you can fly. So, which is it?

For the ones that have not heard yet!!! Freedom Air Flight School is now at Josephburg Airport!!! I went there today for a rust remover and they even have a new approved "Practice Area" Radio is on 123.5 so it is fairly quiet and not as congested as 123.2. And the Runway is 4500 and 100 wide. Plenty of room for my miserable landings!!! Mark as usual, showed nerves of steal, while i messed about with slow flight and steep turns and even left his hands and feet of the controls ...during my touch and goes. If your looking for a fine Instructor in the Edmonton Area...I really like him in the right seat. Nuf Said! www.freedomair.ca See more

Ahhhhhhh.. hours and hours of cutting grass. Runway is cut and I discovered some freshly moved in Gophers. Knocked it all down and tomorrow have to figure out what to do with them. How to get rid off them?

Amateur and Ultralight have a great advantage certified Aircraft world, by being able to work on our own AC. However, if you do not know how to do things properly, maybe one should ask for help. I have 2 planes in the shop with electrical issues and the things I am finding.... Lucky there was no fires! These connectors had no insulators between the pins for example. Now it is done correctly.... ALL CONNECTIONS should be soldered, not just crimped and PLEASE use heatshrink for a nice tight fit to keep moisture out. Also do not forget to use dielectric grease. The few bucks extra and the little bit of time extra spent, is keeping expensive people like me, away from your amateur built Aircraft. See more

anyone looking for a fully heated Hangar Space in Fort McMurray? I have a 5400 square feet Hangar and only one little piper low wing parked in it. 400.- per month all included. Hangar is very new and modern with in floor heating and 2 make up heaters. Has also some extra rooms that could be used for offices or a bed could be put in.... There is bathroom and shower and hot water off course. Could be perfect for someone that once in a while needs to fly up to FMM and stay a night or 2 at a time. Way cheaper then ramp fees and hotel. Call or text me or pm here. Sven 780-881-5678 See more

Not bad at all. We actually got this ball rolling and have a few people seeing these posts. Great. Feel free to post any Aviation related posts at any time. We also have the first few signups for the Membership at the Albertapilots.com Website. Please send or post all Dates for Fly ins and stuff so we can put it in the calender on the website. This has been way more work and way harder then expected, but I hope it will be worth it and we will have some great get togethers this summer. Picture from a get together at the Forestburg Airport a few years ago. Hmmmm who is flying over ??? Wayne Mitchler is that you?
