Is stucco better than brick? We receive this question a lot. Here’s our answer! Brick is less costly than stucco, and natural stone is more expensive than both. Stucco is considered very energy efficient and can last up to 50 years or more. Brick with require maintenance. Finally, the real decision comes down to style and preference. ... All of the pictures we post are of our actual jobs. No stock photos. No stealing pics. We are downright PROUD to have serviced homeowners, commercial properties and have helped hundreds of people the past almost 16 years. We hope to add a new wow-worthy 2020 summer collection to our portfolio of work! A heartfelt thank you to everyone that has trust us with their home, business and project!
Commonly asked question, answered! Q: what is stucco and why does everyone love it? A: Stucco is applied wet and hardens to a very dense solid. It used as a decorative coating for walls and ceilings, and as a sculptural and artistic material in architecture. Stucco maybe used to cover less visually appealing construction materials, such as metal, concrete, cinder block, or clay brick.
Chimney repair showcase! * Teaching lesson * PLEASE swipe left to see what happens to stucco if you DO NOT apply mesh. It will crack and fall a part. We always apply mesh to allow the cement to bond to it very well and is used for patches, transitions and uneven surfaces. It also works great for stone veneer projects!
The new stucco systems include an additional insulation layer of Styrofoam, a feature we love because it provides more of a thermal barrier. This is known as an exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS). An acrylic-polymer coat of stucco is applied onto a base of mesh and foam board insulation. Chose between 1 inch to 5 inch Styrofoam!
