Long but very worthwhile read about how 2017 saw a change in how we are beginning to perceive technology and beginning to deal with the overdosing on social media. Reading this made me feel less alone in how I am personally feeling about technology and social media. I have not signed on to my personal FB page since the New Year. I woke up on Jan. 1st and I just could not do it. So I didn’t and haven’t since. I couldn’t even go in there to say I am no longer going to be on i...t as much or at all. And the most surprising thing if all? No withdrawal symptoms. At all! I definitely thought I would miss it and I haven’t, not even for a moment. I so want to give up my smart phone and I’m wondering if I have the guts to do it. A year without my drug of choice - who would I be? It would be a decluttering of my mind like nothing else. Would you give up yours? Or is there someone out there that isn’t hooked? What’s life like?

I’ve been guilty of getting a new phone before I really needed to. Although I do share my old phones with others, I will be keeping my current one much, much longer. What are your thoughts?
