Today marks the 30th anniversary of the end of the Gulf War. From 1990 to 1991, more than 4,000 Canadians served in the Middle East with the international Coali...tion of nations that fought to liberate Kuwait. It was the first time Canada had joined a war effort since the Korean War. At its peak, more than 2,700 Canadian Armed Forces personnel were stationed in the region at one time.
